For those who are ready for a challenge, we offer a series of lectures -- in Yiddish – on a wide variety of historical, academic, and cultural topics. The lecture series draws on local experts as well as bringing in guest speakers from around the country.
Also, watch out for several upcoming events of interest to Yiddishists and music lovers of all linguistic persuasions:
- Celebrate Sholem Aleichem! An observation of the great Yiddish writer’s 150th birthday. Sunday, March 8, at the WC Building, 2pm.
- The Three Yiddish Divas, Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22, at the JCC in Newton - special ticket prices for WC members.
- The Circle Coffeehouse featuring Di Yugnt Kabarey. Saturday, April 25, at the WC Building, 9pm.
- The Hasia and Elya Segal Yiddish Afternoon with Josh Waletzky. Sunday, May 3, at the WC Building, 2pm.
