Culture & Education | Overview STAND UP SING OUT Media and Feedback
This concert was a milestone in the growth of A Besere Velt and Boston Workmen's Circle, and the sold out show drew rave reviews from audience and performers alike. The entire Fall was a period of vigorous preparation for the chorus and its director, Lisa Gallatin, which lead up to an intense final week and day-of-concert close collaboration with the Klezmatics, resulting in a show that exceeded everyone's expectations.

Comments received by attendees and participants:
"Magnificent!"
"From the audience point of view in the balcony, the energy was incredible!"
"Shnirele Perele was an amazing, beyond amazing, collaboration."
"There are so few times in life that you are with a group of people with the sole goal of being in harmony. Spending so much time with you all pursuing that goal created a powerful bond. The whole process was wonderful, and the concert an amazing finale."
"musically magical"
"...we should send a video [of the show] to every legislator, union head, and captain of industry, such as they are, of the audience clapping and cheering, as usual, when we sang for health care."
"Let's do it again in New York!" (from one of the Klezmatics)
"It was so wonderful, I can't begin to tell you."
"...thank you to all of you and so many more who helped to make last night the landmark event it was, for our chorus and our entire community."
"transformative"
"I've sung in many concerts before this one, but this one was truly the most powerful experience I've had."
